Parental involvement

The Hug Your Book^© Programme is a family literacy evidence-based programme for parents.  We introduced the programme this year and it has been a great success. Parents get to have a cuppa and chat while also enjoying time to read with your child and create fabulous art and craft pieces based on the book of the week. The group meet every Tuesday morning in the staffroom upstairs, all are welcome!

The Hug Your Book^© Programme is for all parents who want to make reading fun and learn new ways to support their children’s literacy skills through fun and rewarding activities. The Hug Your Book^© Programme can be developed to support children’s language and literacy development as well as social and emotional needs.
